The application Stagefright Detector scans your Android device to determine if you are affected by the vulnerability Stagefright and provides practical advice on how you and your device, such as installing patch immediately protect any of your carrier or OEM MMS and disabling auto -fetch in your default mail application until your device is patched
Stagefright detector is designed to keep you informed of the status of your device.
Stagefright detector will not fix the vulnerability , due to the vulnerability can only be fixed once a patch is released by Google, your supplier or the manufacturer of your device, which is usually provided by a system update . To check if a patch is available for most Android devices, go to Settings and click on System Updates
